Bulgaria will be presented at two cultural events this Saturday, May 28, 2022.

  • Annual Hyack International Parade 

    The parade has come back after a 2-year hiatus and this year celebrates its 50th Golden Jubilee.The Bulgarian- Canadian Society of BC, the Bulgarian Schools in Vancouver- “St. Cyril and Methodius” and “Rodna Rech”, and the Bulgarian Folk Dance Groups “Kitka” and “Hubavitzite” will participate in it.

    Time: 11:00am – 1:30pm
    Place: starting at 8 Ave. & 6th St. and finishing at Queen’s Park, New Westminster

    The festivities will continue at Tapperary Park at 315- Queens Ave., New Westminster with life entertainment, music, games, food, and crafts.

  • May Day Celebration 

    An annual celebration of music and dance, in which Bulgaria will be presented for the first time by dance group “Zornitza”.Time: 3:30pm
    Place: Queen’s Park Stadium
