The Bulgarian Society is honored to participate in the annual Multicultural Fair organized by the Vancouver Public Library in celebration of Canada’s official Multiculturalism Day. The event will showcase the ethnic diversity of our city and celebrate the contributions of various multicultural groups and communities to Canadian society.

The 2014Multicultural Fair will be held at the Central Library on Friday, June 27, from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Promenade:

12 p.m. Hungarian Cultural Society dancers

12:30 p.m. Scottish dancers

1 p.m. Bangladeshi Traditional dancers

1:30 p.m. Israeli dance troupe
Alma VanDusen & Peter Kaye Rooms , Lower Level:

2 – 3 p.m.

“Stories on Wheels” – Lenard Stanga,  from Pangaea Arts,  will perform Kamishibai, a traditional form of Japanese story-telling, using a bicycle, pictures and acting.

3 – 3:30 p.m.

Pipa (traditional Chinese instrument) – performed by Ms Shan-Ronghua.
Moat, Lower Level:

1 – 3 p.m.

Indonesian Traditional Textiles – Batik demonstration from Omnita.
